Career Development Center

Community Service and Engagement

Each year, approximately 50 percent of Skidmore students participate in community service and fundraising activities, and our faculty teach more than 20 Applied Civic Engagement (ACE) courses.

The Career Development Center (CDC) facilitates civic engagement for individuals, clubs, teams, and academic departments, acting as a liaison to 40+ nonprofit agencies in 萨拉托加温泉市 as well as regional and national organizations. 从医疗保健 and social services, to environmental action and the arts, Skidmore students volunteer in a variety of ways and give back thousands of hours a year through service.

学生 interested in community service opportunities can arrange for transpotation assistance through the CDC to volunteer locations.

For more information, please contact 米歇尔·霍布斯, Associate Director of 公民参与, at (518) 580-5798.
